Al-Maun (Neighborly Needs) Learning Center of Las Vegas, NV began its first free General Educational Development (GED) Classes on the “Historical Westside” of Las Vegas, NV. Nevada residents without a diploma or General Education Development (GED) credential are at a disadvantage in the growing competitive job market. In order to continue higher education, the GED is necessary. The GED adult classes help to prepare our clients for the GED testing. The GED tests are designed to measure the skill and concepts general associated with high school instruction. The GED tests provide an opportunity to earn a high school equivalency diploma. Eligibility Requirements for the GED classes:
GED classes are available in English at the present time. The objective is to provide the GED classes in other languages as well. GED classes are conducted Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 5pm – 8pm for a 6-week session. The applicants are prepared for the GED tests. Al-Maun covers the cost of the first GED testing for an applicant. If there is a need to repeat the testing, the applicant is responsible at that time. |
