Al-Maun Food and Nutrition Program (Al-Maun Nutrition) is designed to reduce hunger by providing FREE nutritional bags of groceries and hot meals to low-income individuals and the homeless.   Al-Maun Nutrition provides basic groceries to approximately 150 needy individuals weekly. 

Groceries are purchased in bulk by Al-Maun Nutrition’s staff.  Al-Maun Nutrition provides adequate nutrition to those in need (youth, mothers, senior citizens and the homeless.  Inadequate nutrition during any period of childhood can have detrimental effects on cognitive development and adult productivity. 

For the past ten years, Al-Maun Nutrition has reached the goal of establishing a year-round program that includes weekly food bag distributions and a weekly feeding of the homeless in the community.   

Al-Maun Nutrition currently supports its’ nutrition program through private donations and fundraisers. No services or charges are required in exchange for meals or food bags. 

Service is provided to any person that comes with any of the following items to prove eligibility:

  • drivers license
  • State issued food stamp card 
  • medicaid/medicare cards for persons with disabilities
  • Unemployment notification to substantiate income or lack thereof (if food stamps card has not yet been issued).

Al-Maun Nutrition provides grocery distribution on Fridays from 2:00 to 3:00 pm.  Services are provided at 711 Morgan Ave., Las Vegas, NV. Al-Maun Nutrition also provides services to clients that are walk-ins or referrals from other agencies.   

Al-Maun Nutrition provides grocery bag assistance to families up to a maximum of 4 times per month.
